Independent Living at its best

Selwyn Village is a retirement jewel sitting on Auckland's sparkling Waitemata Harbour.

Betty Pyatt apartments

The Betty Pyatt apartments, opened in August 2016, are built on the former site of Christ’s Hospital and are named after much-loved Sister Betty Pyatt, who joined Selwyn in 1974 as Matron.

Breath-taking vistas and stunning landscapes

When award-winning architect firm Archimedia designed the new complex, they kept the landform features of this iconic site firmly in mind. Built of simple, robust materials, the main sections of the building give an urban, communal apartment look, while retaining a coastal feel that integrates perfectly with its harbour environment. The apartments are designed to take advantage of the exceptional views of the surrounding landscape. West facing units overlook the Waitemata Harbour towards the Waitakere Ranges, and most have balconies. South facing apartments take in the surrounding views from versatile enclosed conservatories, which provide protection from southerly winds.

The 57 Betty Pyatt apartments have a variety of floor plans designed for personalised living and entertaining.
