Student Placements

The Selwyn Institute provides placements for work experience to support workforce development, both at an individual level and within the Aged Care sector.

Are you or your organisation interested in applying with The Selwyn Institute for potential student or intern placements?

The Selwyn Institute already has partnerships and agreements with ten educational institutions and faculties throughout New Zealand for student and intern placements. During 2017 we hosted over 245 students with over 1,800 placement days. Selwyn supports work experience placements where:

  • there are appropriately qualified employees to provide guidance to students.
  • appropriate support is provided by the education provider.
  • the safety of all residents, employees and students can be maintained.
