The Ministry of Health are tracing and contacting passengers who might have had contact with relevant drivers.

We require all visitors to our care homes to continue:

  • to wear a mask/face covering for the duration of their visit
  • to check in using the Visitor Management System, answer the health declaration questions within the system, scan the QR code at the care home entrance, wear their identification label and use hand sanitiser before moving through the care home to see their loved one/friend.

Our residential care staff will also continue to wear surgical masks until further notice.

It’s unfortunate that we’re having to reintroduce these restrictions so soon, but it’s important that we react promptly to this ever evolving COVID situation and the continuing threat of community transmission.

Visiting can still take place in the resident’s bedroom or in a communal area. If taking residents off the village site, visitors will be given a contact tracing form to complete and hand back on the resident’s return; residents should be encouraged to wear a mask at all times when in public places.

And remember, if you feel just slightly unwell or have cold or flu symptoms, call your doctor or Healthline on 0800 358 5453 to see if you need a test. Staying at home if you’re sick is especially important at Alert Level 1, as the risk of COVID-19 being spread in the community is much greater when there are no restrictions on gatherings or going out.

Next update:

We will review the situation again on Monday, 16 November 2020 or if the Alert Level increases.

Many thanks for your patience and understanding at this time.
